There’s been some issue with Fliggo, and it’s keeping us from being able to upload new videos for viewing. ‘Tis a shame, because we have quite a few to show everyone. I’ll be looking for an alternative if I can’t work this out with Fliggo support.

Whew what a weekend

This weekend was another fun-filled action packed weekend! I had ordered a push car thing for Marshall – a “walker” – and was excited and nervous to see him use it. Finally on Sunday I got up the nerve and with Daddy’s help our boy was off and running … literally … across our small living room. It was fun and scary and amazing to watch him go … he was definitely so excited and Mommy was so nervous about him totally taking a header. But he didn’t … our little dude is so amazing! Here’s a little video …
He also got to play on the computer for a bit … OOOO BOY!!
He’s also feeling better … not 100% yet but getting there. The biggest reason I can tell he’s not back to normal is his appetite. Our little Hoover is no longer a little Hoover. He is much more picky about what stays in his mouth … has started spitting out food (yuck) and doesn’t want much. I’m very much hoping that this will pass … in the meantime I accept that he just wants breast milk and cheese.
He’s also making lots of new sounds … “nana” and “th” and “ssss” and “zzzz” … mixing things up and we think maybe saying “cat” or “at” as it’s coming out. It usually starts with “dat” then “at” … Natalie swears he said “cat” and I think I’ve heard it too … funny since my first word was “kitty”. heh.
The other big thing that happened was that after Daddy recovered from the yuck that took everyone out of commission – he was able to join his dragonboat team, the “Splashdragons” for the final race – which they won – taking FIRST in their division!! YAY!!
Busy weekend
Sunday, June 14th, 2009What a great weekend! Saturday we went to our friends Ellen and Keith’s house for a little pre-derby-bout bbq. Marshall got to hang out with Anya – check out the video here. He really does love doggies … we’re still on the fence about getting one cuz it’s gonna be a lot of work … for now he just gets to terrorize the kitties around the house.
Today Mommy and Marshall went to skate with the derby girls in the Pride parade. He had SO much fun – riding along in his stroller while mommy pushed him along on skates. Good times!!
Then we went to our friends Marbry and Rich’s housewarming party. They had yummy fresh fruit – strawberries and bananas – along with cheese and bread. Marshall made a few new friends and admired their beautiful garden and flowers. Which reminds me … he LOVES flowers these days. He first discovered the silk daisies in our bedroom … now he beelines for them – stands up next to the bed or dresser and says “Fsssss – Fssss” … he also admires them all over Portland. I think maybe a trip to the Rose Gardens may be in order!
We’re finally getting back on track with eating. He is now enjoying broccoli, fruits, bread, and all kinds of baby food again. But still loves cheese more than anything else … I figure there’s worse things in this world he could love eating!
